Available now only through Natural Accents Gallery in Taos, NM. Magpies are one of my favorite birds. Did you know magpies are not attracted to shiny objects - contrary to lore? Magpies are related to crows and are one of the most intelligent birds in the animal kingdom. They are one of the only creatures, along with dolphins, elephants and 4 ape species, that can recognize themselves in the mirror! This little magpie nest was inspired by the home built by these birds in our tree. They are such social little things - calling to each other and chasing off the red tail hawks. This was painted on a repurposed cabinet door and is ready to Hang!
