Close Encounter

This chicken isn't sure about the Sphinx moth that has invaded her space! I didn't know that those BIG GREEN ugly tomato worms turn into such magnificent creatures as the SPHINX MOTH! I sadly fed 6 of them to my chickens this summer. I painted this one on watercolor paper and mounted it on a cradled birch board. I used genuine copper leafing around the actual painting to create a framed look.
